Introduction

The Opalis Integration Pack for BMC Remedy AR System is an add-on for Opalis Integration Server that enables you to build Policies that manage BMC Remedy AR System operations.

This Integration Pack enables you to create, get, update, and monitor BMC Remedy AR System requests. Using this Integration Pack, you can automate the management of your requests in response to events in other systems in your data center.

System Requirements

* BMC Remedy AR System Client files have to be installed on all Action Servers and Clients. See Installation Instructions

Installation

  1. Deploy the Integration Pack to the Action Servers and Clients that will use the Integration Pack. For more information about deploying Integration Packs, see the Opalis Integration Server Administrator Guide.
  2. Find the following files in your BMC Remedy AR System Client installation folder:
    - Arapi71.dll
    - Arrpc71.dll
    - Arutl71.dll
    - Icuinbmc32.dll
    - Icuucbmc32.dll
    - Icudt32.dll
  3. Copy the files to Program Files\Common Files\Opalis Software\Opalis Integration Server\Extensions\Support\bin on all Opalis Action Servers and Clients that will use the Integration Pack.

  2. Download the BMC Impact Integration Developer’s Kit 7.1 from http://developer.bmc.com/legal/iidk/download.htm.
  3. Install the BMC Impact Developer’s Kit.
  4. Find the following:
    - bmciiapi.dll - BMC Software\MasterCell\bmciiapi_7_1\lib\Win32
    - locale (folder) - BMC Software\MasterCell\bmciiapi_7_1\config
  5. Copy ‘bmciiapi.dll’ to Program Files\Common Files\Opalis Software\Opalis Integration Server\Extensions\ on every Action Server and Client that will use the Integration Pack.
  6. Copy ‘locale’ folder to Program Files\Common Files\Opalis Software\Opalis Integration Server\Extensions\Support\bem on every Action Server and Client that will use the Integration Pack.

Introduction

The Opalis Integration Pack for BMC Atrium CMDB is an add-on for Opalis Integration Server that enables you to build Policies that manage BMC Atrium CMDB operations.

This Integration Pack enables you to create, get, update, delete, and monitor BMC Atrium CMDB instances and relationships. You can also reconcile your BMC Atrium CMDB databases. Using this Integration Pack, you can automate the management of your configuration instances and relationships in response to events in other systems in your data center.

* A single user cannot access the same Remedy AR System Server from multiple Opalis Integration Server Action Servers and Opalis Integration Server Clients. In order to allow connectivity from multiple points, unique users will need to be created.

* BMC Atrium CMDB Client files have to be installed on all Action Servers and Clients. See Installation Instructions
